New smart TV setup
New TV out of the box and you're stuck on the sign-in carousel? We'll set it up properly — Wi-Fi, accounts, the apps you actually use, picture and sound dialled in, remote paired and labelled — before we leave.
New smart TVs, streaming apps that have stopped working, soundbars and home theatre, and the move from Foxtel or Fetch to streaming. On-site across Greater Hobart, usually same day. Patient, no jargon, and we don't leave until the telly's working the way it should.

● What we help with
New TV out of the box and you're stuck on the sign-in carousel? We'll set it up properly — Wi-Fi, accounts, the apps you actually use, picture and sound dialled in, remote paired and labelled — before we leave.
Netflix stuck buffering, Kayo dropping out at the worst moment, Binge that won't sign in, Disney+ frozen on the loading wheel? We work out whether it's the app, the TV, the account or the connection — and fix the right one.
A TV that's lost the Wi-Fi after a router change, a network rename, or a software update — back online without resetting the whole house. (For full Wi-Fi coverage and mesh setup, see our Internet & Wi-Fi page.)
Setting up a streaming box from scratch, or sorting one that's stopped talking to the TV. We get the input, the remote and the apps lined up, and label which HDMI does what so the family stops asking.
New soundbar that left you with a TV that's gone silent? We sort the HDMI ARC, the speaker config and the remote so volume goes up and down with one button, the way it's meant to.
Casting from your phone or laptop to the lounge TV, AirPlay to the kitchen speaker, the same show on two TVs at the same time — set up so it works first try, every try.
Tired of paying $120 a month for channels you don't watch? We'll work out which streaming apps replace what you actually use — sport, news, kids, drama — set them up on your TV, and show you how to switch between them without a remote graveyard.
A TV set up so the people who live with it can actually use it. Big-text menus where they're available, the apps they use on the home screen, a single remote that works the lot, and as long as you need at the table to walk through it.
● What we hear most
“Netflix keeps buffering on our smart TV.”
“We just got a soundbar and now nothing has sound.”
“The TV won't connect to our Wi-Fi any more.”
“Mum can't figure out how to work ABC iView.”
“The footy is about to start and I can't get Kayo to work.”
If any of those sound familiar, give us a call or book a visit — we'll work out what's going on.
Book a visitStraight up
A fixed hourly rate with no call-out fee within 25 km of the Hobart CBD. For those a little further out — up to 40 km — we still come to you, just with a small distance fee on top. The cost is agreed before we start, so there are no surprises when we leave.
● A visit, start to finish
Fill in the form or give us a call. Tell us what's going on and we'll sort a time — same day where we can, otherwise within a day or two.
Our technician arrives when we said we would. Lounge room, kitchen, wherever the TV lives — we come to it.
Before we leave we show you how everything works — the apps, the remote, all of it — at your pace, without the jargon.
● TV & streaming questions
Can't see yours? Give us a ring or send it through on the booking form and we'll get back to you — usually within a few hours during the day.
