Work on your terms,
help real people.
HeyTech is looking for skilled, patient technicians to join our platform across Greater Hobart. You set your own schedule, choose the jobs that suit you, and get paid weekly — all through the HeyTech app.

● Why join HeyTech
Built around you, not the other way around.
Earn great money
Get paid fairly for every job. You'll have a full breakdown of your earnings per job — the rate, any commission, and your weekly payout — all visible in the app. No surprises.
Set your own schedule
Only accept the jobs that work for you. You decide when you're available, which suburbs you cover, and how many bookings you take on. Full control, no minimum hours.
The HeyTech app
Every job, booking and payout is managed through our custom-built app. Accept jobs, navigate to customers, log your work, and get paid — all in one place.
Select your skills
Tell us what you're good at — computers, phones, printers, networking, home AV, smart home, or small business IT. You'll only receive jobs that match your skill set.
● Requirements
We select carefully.
It's important to us that every technician we send represents HeyTech well. Applicants are expected to meet the following requirements before joining the platform.
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have access to reliable transportation and a mobile device
- Pass a skills assessment and background check
- Provide proof of insurance
- Have a solid understanding of various technology devices and platforms
- Have a great attitude, plenty of patience, and genuinely enjoy helping others
● What we look for
The qualities that define a HeyTech technician.
This is a role that asks for patience, knowledge, and the ability to explain things clearly to people who aren't technical. Skills matter — but so does how you show up for people.
Genuinely care about customers
Many of our customers have been with HeyTech for years. They open their homes to you, trust you with their devices, and often their entire digital life. That relationship is something we protect. A great HeyTech technician is invested in the outcome — not just the job.
Patience is part of the job
You may have to explain the same concept three different ways until it lands — and without a flicker of frustration. Most customers aren't technical. Making them feel capable, not embarrassed, is as important as fixing the problem itself.
Communicate clearly and honestly
If something can't be fixed, say so plainly. If it'll take longer than expected, let the customer know. The customers who trust us most are the ones we've always been straight with. No jargon, no runaround.
